We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapy / PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) practitioner to support students' emotional and social development within our educational setting. The successful candidate will deliver engaging programmes aimed at fostering well-being, resilience, and positive behaviour among pupils. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective PSHE and therapy sessions tailored to students' individual needs and developmental stages.
Facilitate group activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Support pupils experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties through one-to-one or small group interventions.
Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to develop personalised support plans.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of pupils, maintaining accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment conducive to learning and personal development.
Stay informed about best practices in PSHE education and therapeutic approaches relevant to the student demographic.
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in counselling, psychology, social work or related fields.
Experience working with children or young people in educational or therapeutic settings is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging sessions effectively.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and active listening.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all pupils.
