We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using hand and power tools to produce high-quality welds that meet Nuclear standards.
Duties
Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and quality in every weld.
Utilise stick welding techniques as needed for specific projects.
Fabricate components according to engineering specifications and drawings.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for assembly tasks.
Conduct inspections of welded joints to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Apply basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Qualifications
A minimum of 4 years essential experience in MIG and TIG welding.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with fabrication processes, including working with sheet metal.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
