Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, particularly TIG welding, as well as the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. The successful applicant will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

Perform TIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and clean welds. Assemble and fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications. Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts. Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve processes. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the welding process and make necessary adjustments.

Skills

Proficient in basic maths for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience with sheet metal fabrication is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to understand machinery and equipment used in welding. Familiarity with stick welding techniques is beneficial. Ability to operate various power tools safely and efficiently. Competence in using hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks. Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.

We are currently only looking for Night Shift workers and this position will be entitled to a 20% shift allowance.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: 14.50-15.00 per hour
