Till Operator
Job Description
We are looking for a till operator to work in our Launceston Store. We are after someone that is multi skilled and able to adapt to whatever role they are put in. A good knowledge of gardening would be helpful but not essential.
The job is full time and will include weekend days.
Till work takes up the majority of the role (training will be provided), anyone applying for this role should have a good approach to customer service and have experience in dealing with members of the public. The applicant should have a good understanding of plants and other garden related products. Heavy lifting maybe required to assist customers with goods to their vehicle.
Responsibilities:
Use of the till.
Dealing with customer queries either in person or by telephone.
Use of electronic scanners for labelling, stock replenishment.
Aiding other areas of the garden centre in other jobs.
Use of a radio to communicate effectively with other members of staff.
Answering multiple calls internally as well as customer queries.
The following skills and qualifications would be beneficial but not essential:-
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
First Aid
Previous experience in a similar role
