Job Description

Main Purpose of the job

To help prepare the timber for our Production machines, assemble various products including picking and packing

Main Tasks

To carry out various processes to support the manufacture of our products. Cutting timber prior to machining. Preparation of timber using our moulding machine. Using various hand tools on timber and sheet materials. Assembly of products and sub-assemblies. Picking and packing of products in a presentable way. Supporting the movement of materials in and out of the factory. Manufacture of ropes and nets. Generally supporting the whole manufacturing and assembly processes. Using the Forklift (subject to holding relevant licences) To ensure working space and factory kept clean and tidy. Good management of all tools and storage. Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 18.00pm. Closed Fridays 42 hours over 4 days

Machinery/Equipment

Using relevant machinery as required to manufacture parts- Full Training will be given.

Working within our Factory and our storage yard

Willing to learn and train in all aspects of a busy factory manufacturing environment. To be part of a team supporting each other to meet our customer's expectations of delivering quality products on time.

Manual Handling

There are lifting requirements within this role

To follow all the H&S guidelines and PPE as determined by the business

Communication Skills

To be able to communicate well with all levels

Work Experience

Experience working with wood would be an advantage and working in a busy manufacturing/assembly environment, but training will be given..
