This is a great opportunity for a dynamic skilled and experienced timber fabricator to join our workshop team and would suit someone who thrives in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Working in a small but very flexible team, you will report directly to our Workshop Supervisor. The successful applicant will be responsible for manufacturing premium quality sheds and various timber products as well as general housekeeping and waste control in our modern timber workshop. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and be able to manage there own workload.
Responsibilities
Manufacture premium quality panels, gates, sheds and other timber products
Customer service

Keeping the workshop tidy and clean
Delivery targets and production planning
Safety & security awareness
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the following:
Ability to build panels, gates, sheds and other outbuildings in timber sections without training
Have considerable experience in woodwork techniques, air tools and use of machinery
To deliver on time and show a dynamic work ethic
To be organised, tidy and methodically minded
Be capable to carry out the role
Have good numeric and literacy skills (you will be working in both metric and imperial measurements)
Be self-motivated and able to motivate others
Be customer focused
Have excellent team skills
The following skills are desirable
Understand fencing and landscaping techniques and materials
Have experience in loading timber products
Hold a FLT Counterbalance truck licence (inhouse or external)
Have a full UK drivers' licence
Next door to Earlswood railway Station. 1 mile from junction 3 of the M42
Please note: Although the centre is commutable by rail from Solihull, Birmingham there is no other public transport available in the local area so it would be a distinct advantage if you have your own transport.
TERMS
Pay
10.00 to 14.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
Hours
40 hours per week (38 paid hours) over 5 days, Saturday will be part of your working rota.
Holiday
213 hours per annum, including bank holidays (after induction and trial period)
