Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and fun Level 3 qualified practitioner who is looking for a full time or part time role as a room leader in our busy, but fun toddler room.

Maximum hours would be to work 40 hours a week over 51 weeks a year but a job share / flexi hours, possible across 3 days would be considered.

The ideal candidates will relish getting their hands dirty, laugh when covered in glitter and have the skills to turn a story to a real life experience!

The role includes:

o Leading and supporting a small and diverse staff team to care for up children aged 2 to 3 years.

o To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.

o To oversee entries and observations on children's online learning journals.

o To work with the SENCO and support all team members with the early identification and intervention for children with possible additional needs.

o Support all staff to engage in good team working.

o Ensure room checks and outdoor checks are conducted in line with nursery procedures.

o Develop strong partnership with parents and other family members.

o Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery philosophy is fulfilled



Specific toddler room tasks

To support and facilitate the preparation and completion of activities to suit each individual child's stage of development and interests

To support all staff to develop their role within the team especially with regard as a key person

To ensure that meal times are a time of pleasant social sharing

To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and ensure all staff uphold its standards at all times, both within work hours and outside.

Wages are negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
