We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in resharpening and grinding components. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. You will work in a workshop environment, utilising various machinery to achieve desired specifications.

Duties

Operate grinding machines to manufacture and resharpen industrial cutting tools. Conduct regular maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform quality checks to measure dimensions and tolerances. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to mechanical processes. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using hand tools and grinding equipment effectively. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting within the production process.
