We're an independent, fast growing tool hire company with a strong focus on customer service and reliability. We are looking for a motivated and organised Depot Manager to take the lead in running day to day operations, handling customer enquiries, and making sure things run smoothly.
The Role:
As Hire Manager, you'll be the go to person - answering phones, booking out machines, coordinating deliveries, and keeping the team organised. You'll need to be hands-on, friendly, and a natural multitasker.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing incoming calls and customer enquiries in a friendly, professional manner
Taking bookings and organising tool and equipment hire
Coordinating drivers and deliveries
Overseeing the day to day running of the depot
Supporting walk in customers with hire enquiries and returns
Working closely with the workshop and drivers to ensure smooth operations
Handling admin tasks such as paperwork, schedules, and hire agreements
Keeping the depot organised, tidy, and well-stocked
What We're Looking For:
Experience in tool hire and mini plant hire (essential)
Confident on the phone and dealing with customers
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A hands on approach and the ability to manage a small team
Comfortable using basic computer systems and hire software
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
