Purpose
As a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and operational readiness of robotic inspection tooling and associated equipment. You will play a key role in supporting both onshore and offshore activities, including trials, validations, and mobilizations. This role requires a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
Responsibilities
Assemble, test, and maintain robotic tooling and NDT equipment.
Support onshore trials, FATs, and offshore mobilizations.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure tooling readiness.
Maintain accurate records of tooling configurations, maintenance, and inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling design and performance.
Travel independently or as part of a team to support field operations.
Requirements & qualifications
Technical qualification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering.
3+ years of experience in tooling, maintenance, or equipment support.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with subsea or offshore robotic systems.
Familiarity with NDT technologies and inspection tooling.
Knowledge of offshore safety protocols and HSE regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, HSE).
Experience with hydraulic systems, pressure testing, and sensor integration
Right to live and work in the United Kingdom or Norway.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturer-specific software.
Full UK driving license.
