We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Town Planner to join a team in Manchester. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside professionals from various disciplines. As a Town Planner, you will contribute to a wide range of projects, leveraging your expertise to navigate the complexities of the planning system and delivering strategic solutions that align with our clients' goals.
Key Responsibilities
xc2xb7Manage planning applications and appeals, providing strategic planning advice to clients across sectors.
xc2xb7Liaise with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progression.
xc2xb7Conduct research, feasibility studies, and site appraisals to inform planning recommendations.
xc2xb7Collaborate with surveyors, building consultants, and property advisors on multi-faceted projects.
xc2xb7Keep abreast of legislative and policy changes, ensuring compliance and up-to-date advice.
xc2xb7Support business development efforts through networking and client relationship management.
Requirements
xc2xb7Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
xc2xb7RTPI membership (or eligibility) preferred.
xc2xb7Proven experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment.
xc2xb7Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
xc2xb7Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach.
xc2xb7Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
