Joe Court Forestry Ltd is a family run business established in 2005. Based near Hascombe, Surrey we are a growing forestry company which offers all aspects of woodland management across the UK. We have a dedicated team of hand cutters and machine operators with a focus on sustainability, high customer service and providing a full range of forestry services. We work with all elements of the forestry industry from woodland owners, forest management companies, local governments, and public bodies.

We are a small but expanding team, with sites across the South of England and a keen focus on delivering the best quality, working hard and continually investing in both machinery and our team. We are passionate about sustainable forestry, protecting our woodlands for future generations and offering a work environment of opportunity, development and support.

The Role

Due to the continued growth of the company, we are looking for an experienced tractor driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a range of tractors, ideally from a forestry background, or have similar experience from agriculture, military or estate work. Candidates will have experience, or transferable skills, driving at least one of the following machines:

- Forestry tractor and timber trailer

- Forestry tractor with mulcher / flail

- Tractor and woodchip trailer

- Tractor and whole tree chipper

This role requires someone who is hard working, self motivated and thrives in a small team environment with a real passion for forestry. Chainsaw certification up to small fell would be beneficial but not essential. Support in additional training and development would be provided as part of employment, with opportunities to drive a range of forestry machinery including purpose built timber forwarders and forestry excavators.

Additional requirements and skills:

- Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.

- Relevant FMOCs

- Excellent communication and teamwork

- Excellent customer service

- Maintenance of all machinery to a high standard

- Good organisation and time management

The role is full-time, site based in South England. The majority of sites are in Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire.

Hours would be 50 hours a week.
