Overview:

At BB Glass and Glazing we specialise in the supply and fitting of quality finished glass, bespoke glazing solutions and replacement windows and glass doors sealed units.

As part of our development, we're currently seeking an experienced, reliable and commercial Trade Counter Manager. The ideal candidate will be confident in the running of the trade counter, dealing with retail, professional and trade customers, advising them on products and solutions for their glazing needs and accompanying them through their journey from product selection and quotes to order processing and installation.

This role requires a hands-on, proactive, autonomous and commercial person with great communication and organisation skills. It is an opportunity to contribute to the business' growth ambitions, with a chance to progress within the company as it develops.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal with customer enquiries from walk-in customers at the counter or received via email or over the phone, providing them with advice and solutions on glazing products for their project needs End-to-end management of customer orders, including quoting new enquiries, placing of product orders with suppliers, scheduling of installation and updating customers of the progress of their outstanding orders Quickly resolving any customer issues Developing strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business Issuing invoices and ensuring prompt payment Daily operation of the trade counter, including chasing, receiving and checking deliveries, monitoring and managing stock and supplies levels, ordering supplies Performing general administration duties and keeping records up to date Ensure counter premises are kept clean, professional and in good order

Requirements:

Previous experience of working on / managing a trade counter (2 years minimum experience) Knowledge of glazing products highly beneficial but not mandatory Ability to work independently Strong time management and organisational skills Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do, responsible, and flexible attitude Excellent customer service and communication skills Right to work in the UK Applicants must have a high standard of English and maths, should be familiar with using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and live within easy reach of High Wycombe (HP 12)
