About Us:

We are a well-established nd growing independent electrical wholesaler with a reputation for excellent customer service and a strong team culture. We are seeking a reliable and confident Trade Counter Operative to join our dynamic team. The role combines customer-facing sales with warehouse and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Serve customers at the trade counter. including both credit account holders & walk-in customers Build & maintain rapport with customers and provide a knowledgeable, professionals service Build & maintain relationships with suppliers (current & prospective) to ensure competitive pricing and product availability Process sales orders, generate invoices and manage stock movements using inventory management Handle internal sales via telephone, providing quotations and product information as required Process & allocate customer payments accurately (cash handling & card payments)

Warehouse & Stock Management

Pick & pack customer orders efficiently and accurately Load & unload deliveries Receive and check incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against delivery notes Generate and issue purchase orders to suppliers based on stock requirements Maintain a clean, organised and compliant warehouse environment

Skills

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with a confident, approachable manner (Essential) Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks (Essential) Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy (Essential) Previous experience with an inventory management software (Desired but not essential) Previous experience in wholesale or a similar trade environment is advantageous
