Counter Salesperson

to join our busy and thriving Builders Merchants. If you have excellent customer service skills, a good understanding of building materials, and a desire to provide exceptional support to our trade and retail customers, we want to hear from you!

The Role:

As a Counter Salesperson, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing expert advice and processing sales efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:

Customer Service:

Providing friendly and efficient service to all customers. Answering customer enquiries and providing product advice. Building strong relationships with trade customers.

Sales & Order Processing:

Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Taking customer orders and arranging deliveries. Upselling and cross-selling products to maximize sales. Providing accurate quotations.

General Duties:

Operating the till and handling cash and card payments. Assisting with stock replenishment. Keeping the counter area clean and organised. Assisting with other tasks as required.

About You:

Previous experience in a customer service or sales role, ideally within a Builders Merchants or similar trade environment. A good understanding of building materials and products. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and enthusiastic attitude. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer literacy. Forklift licence is a bonus.
