Job Description
Headlam, the UK's largest flooring distributor, is recruiting a customer focused Trade Counter Supervisor.
You will support the day-to-day running of a Trade Counter site and will be involved in leading the team on-site, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service and adherence to safety. The Supervisor also shares responsibilities with Trade Counter Assistants and plays a key role in maintaining team performance and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve customers, resolve queries, and support the team in delivering a positive and efficient trade counter experience. Assist with stock control, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised counter area. Help implement promotions, pricing updates, and visual merchandising in line with company standards. Provide informal coaching and support to Trade Counter Assistants, helping to maintain performance and engagement. Promote and uphold a safety-first culture by following and reinforcing health & safety procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
Exposure to stock handling, merchandising, and customer service. Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic understanding of health & safety and operational procedures.
