Job Specification: Trade Customer Service Representative
Providing Dedicated Support to Trade Clients
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Trade Customer Service Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our trade clients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with our business customers, supporting sales activities, and resolving queries related to orders, deliveries, and product information.
Main Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for trade customers, handling inbound calls, emails, and online enquiries.
Process sales orders, quotations, and returns accurately using our internal systems.
Provide detailed product information, pricing, and stock availability to trade clients.
Liaise with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, logistics, accounts) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly, escalating complex matters as required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with trade customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
Support the sales team with administrative tasks and customer follow-ups.
Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell relevant products and services.
Monitor and report on customer feedback and service trends to management.
Key Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a customer service or sales support role, preferably within a trade or B2B environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous manner.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with CRM/order management systems.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications
Leaving Certificate or equivalent required; further education in business, administration, or a related field desirable.
Additional qualifications or training in customer service or sales support advantageous.
Working Hours & Location
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate customer needs.
Located in Hook, Hampshire.
