An opportunity has arisen to join Trading Standards within Rhondda Cynon Taf as a Trading Standards Officer based in Ty Elai, Williamstown, CF40 1NY. The service is responsible for the inspection of a wide variety of retail and non-retail premises within the County Borough; and the investigation of criminal complaints across the full remit of Trading Standards legislation. The team within which this post sits, is also responsible for supporting and advising businesses on food standards related matters.
The successful applicant must hold the statutory qualification required to act as an Inspector of Weights and Measures and be Food Standards qualified and competent.
We are seeking an enthusiastic officer who has proven capabilities, both working within a team and as an individual, managing and prioritising their own workload. Good IT skills and numeracy skills are required.
The authority offers flexible working and agile working across the Authority to meet the demands of the Service; the successful candidate must be willing to work outside of normal office hours.
