Independent Cafe & Takeaway - Chipping Sodbury

We're on the lookout for a confident and capable individual to join our close-knit team at our busy, well-loved independent cafe and takeaway in Chipping Sodbury.

This role isn't for the faint-hearted -- we get seriously busy, and we need someone who can stay calm under pressure, think on their feet, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to the team.

What we're looking for:

Experience in an independent cafe or coffee house is a must -- we're not looking for large chain experience Strong barista skills (or, for the right person, a willingness to be trained) Supervisory or team-leading experience in a cafe, deli, or restaurant environment Someone who thrives in a fast-paced service setting and works brilliantly with others A genuine passion for great food, great coffee, and great service
The role includes:

Making consistently excellent coffee and drinks Taking orders and serving customers with a smile Helping to manage the day-to-day running of both cafe sites Supporting and motivating the team during busy shifts Keeping things clean, organised, and running smoothly Confidence to work alone whilst keeping all of our values at the forefront. And the abilty to work within the team ensuring the team are delivering what matters.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory or trained Barista role, in a small to midsize company. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices including allergens. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
