Job Description

I am hiring for a young, energetic and driven person to join the team in our small accountancy practice in Parson Drove near Wisbech.

The role will be full time, Monday to Friday 9-to-5, with an hour for lunch, and will be part of the apprenticeship program, meaning that the applicant will have a day at college each week once the new in-take term commences, and will be fully supported towards gaining their AAT qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have some IT experience, a basic understanding and ability to use spreadsheets would be a huge benefit. They would be smartly presented as being a small office means that we are all customer facing, however the dress code is casual and the office environment is a relaxed one.

A good, pleasant manner when meeting and speaking to clients, and good communication skills; in person, on the telephone and written in email, would be a huge asset.

Finally, the ability to be flexible and approach all tasks, both some of the mundane that unfortunately will form part of the role, as well as the more interesting and challenging tasks is a must.

There is room for quick progression and the role will provide significant exposure and learning to the successful candidate.

No previous experience in accountancy or bookkeeping is expected or required (however this site does not seem to offer this as an option, hence the advert does suggest experience is preferred).
