Description

We're looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our Stockport office.




This role is ideal for someone currently studying AAT Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent) and looking to build on their existing experience in an accountancy practice.




You will work alongside experienced professionals, developing your technical and client-facing skills in a supportive and collaborative environment - with clear progression opportunities as you advance through your studies.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders


- Assisting with tax returns and VAT filings


- Performing bookkeeping and reconciliations


- Supporting payroll processing


- Communicating with clients and preparing financial reports


- Using cloud-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office tools

Key Requirements

- 1-2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice


- Currently studying AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent)


- Good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

Additional Requirements

- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work


- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


- A driving licence and access to a car is preferred
