Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at our growing accountancy practice for a

Trainee Accountant

to begin their professional journey. This is a long-term role with structured support to complete the

AAT qualification

, and progress onwards to

ACCA studies

if desired.

We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in accountancy who has already

commenced their AAT studies

. While prior work experience is not essential, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are crucial.

The role will also involve liaising with customers, so strong communication skills are essential.

Initially you will learn and become proficient in the following areas:-

Bookkeeping Payroll processing VAT return preparation Records management General office duties
As you gain experience, you will progress to:

Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies

Candidate Requirements

Must already be studying AAT (minimum entry requirement) Strong communication skills -- both written and verbal Diligent and methodical approach to work IT literate and comfortable with online/cloud-based software Prior accountancy or admin experience is beneficial but not required

Additional Information

This position is subject to a

3-month probationary period

Salary is dependent on age and experience and will comply with

National Minimum Wage legislation
