Trainee Accountant
Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Trainee Accountant to work in our busy Self Employed Department
At Broadbent's we are a very forward-thinking firm in respect of technology - we were the first firm in the country to file a quarterly update for MTD for ITSA.
We are therefore looking for a team member who has got good digital skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Manager in the Self employed department ensuring deadlines are met.
The main duties will be as follows :-
Preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships
Speaking with client to discuss any issues
Preparing Tax Returns for clients
Looking after a portfolio of clients in respect of Digital Accounting
Dealing with clients questions
Speaking to clients on a daily basis
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: -
No experience is required for the roll
In house training will be provided along with study support for the AAT exams
IT Literate as most of the work will involve accounting software
Self motivated
To be able to work as part of a team
Good time keeping
Be willing to learn on the job
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 17,000.00-20,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
Halifax HX1 2HX: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
accounting: 2 years (preferred)
Work Location: In person
