Suffolk Tax Accountants is a friendly and modern accounting practice based in Suffolk. We provide accounting and tax services to a wide range of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. We're currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Trainee Accountant

to join our team at the Hadleigh Office.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out in accountancy who wants hands-on experience and a clear path to professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

Assist with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and client communications Prepare accounts for small businesses and sole traders Support with personal and business tax calculations Maintain accurate financial records and learn accounting systems Participate in internal training and CPD workshops

Requirements

Strong numeracy and written communication skills Good GCSEs (including Maths and English); A-levels or equivalent preferred Basic IT skills (Excel, Word); familiarity with accounting software a bonus Reliable, organised, and eager to learn No prior accounting experience necessary -- training provided
