About the Role:
Are you ready to kickstart your career in accountancy? Join us as a Trainee Accountant in Scunthorpe. In this role, you will embark on a journey of learning and development, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside seasoned professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Trainee Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the preparation of year-end accounts for small limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Supporting the production of management accounts and financial reports.
Gaining experience with accounting software such as Xero, SAGE, and QuickBooks.
Supporting the preparation of VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks.
Assisting with basic tax computations and liaising with clients as needed.
Key Requirements:
A 2:1 or higher degree in Accountancy or a related subject such as Maths, Economics, or Business.
Motivation to pursue ACA or ACCA qualifications.
Open to candidates who are current AAT students.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically.
Proficiency in Excel and basic IT software packages.
A valid driving license and access to a car.
