The Role:

Our Stockport office is looking for a motivated Trainee Accountant who is currently studying AAT Level 3 or Level 4 (or equivalent). This position is ideal for someone who already has experience in an accountancy practice and is ready to build on that foundation in a supportive environment.

You will be working closely with experienced colleagues on a variety of client work, gaining hands-on experience and strengthening both your technical and client-facing skills as you progress through your studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders Assisting with tax returns and VAT filings Handling bookkeeping tasks and completing account reconciliations Supporting payroll processes Communicating with clients and preparing financial documents Using cloud-based accounting systems along with Microsoft Office tools

What We're Looking For:

1-2 years' experience within an accountancy practice Currently studying AAT Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Strong attention to detail with a proactive, organised approach Confident communicator and team player A driving licence and access to a car is preferred
