My client is responsible for a varied portfolio of non-audit clients, across a range of industry sectors, including sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies. The client experience, internally and externally, is the fundamental driver of the Accounting Technician and you will strive to deliver an 'only client' experience, whilst meeting expectations and providing accounting support to the wider team.
Key Objectives
Adaptability within your role as required to meet the needs of a growing accountancy business
Work closely with Managers and Director on a daily basis updating them on client work
Assist in the completing of clients' payrolls and VAT, communicating with clients and ensuring all pay runs are correctly reported on time to HMRC
Assist clients in bookkeeping and ensuring VAT returns are completed on time for submission to HMRC
Process client invoices and bank reconciliation in the relevant cloud software
Assist in general accounts production work as required
Assist in the completion of self-assessment tax returns as required
General administration duties in the office such as filing and database management
Look for opportunities for new clients and referrals to the other Cooper Associates Group businesses

Good client service
You will need the following knowledge and skills:
Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage etc
Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Confidence to communicate with clients and the team
Personable, presentable and punctual
Qualifications:
AAT Level 2 or 3 desirable
1+ years accounting practice experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 24,000.00-28,000.00 per year
