We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts / HR Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accurate processing of accounts payable and maintaining financial records.
Responsibilities
Assist in the management of accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Perform data entry tasks, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
Reconcile invoices and statements, resolving discrepancies as necessary.
Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Utilise accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Workday, or PeopleSoft to manage financial data.
Provide general administrative support to the finance and HR department as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) is essential; familiarity with Workday or PeopleSoft is an advantage.
Strong understanding of financial services and accounts payable processes.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong numerical skills and proficiency in data entry.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
