Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Trainee Assistant Supervisor. This role will support the Supervisor to oversee daily operations on our modern Free Range Poultry farm. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for agriculture, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and in accordance with best practices. This role requires effective communication and the ability to manage a small diverse team, fostering a positive work environment while achieving production goals to a timely and high standard.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily farm operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Manage and lead a team of farm workers, providing guidance and support as needed. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clarity in task assignments and expectations. Monitor bird health and productivity, implementing necessary measures for improvement. Maintain records of farm activities. Operate modern egg packing equipment. Collaborate with management to develop strategies for increasing productivity and profitability. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the farm. Assist in training new staff members on operational procedures and safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within an agricultural setting or related field is desired however this is also a perfect role for progression for someone with proven stock experience. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce. Excellent leadership qualities, demonstrating the capacity to inspire others towards achieving common goals.
