Trainee Dental Nurse

Job Purpose:

To assist dentists and other dental professionals in providing high-quality care to patients, while working towards a Level 3 Dental Nurse qualification. The trainee dental nurse will learn and develop skills to support clinical procedures, maintain high standards of infection control, and deliver excellent patient care in a dental practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Chairside Assistance:

Support the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures. Prepare and maintain dental materials, instruments, and equipment. Ensure patients are comfortable and supported during treatment.

2. Infection Control:

Follow strict cross-infection protocols and procedures. Sterilise instruments and maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. Adhere to practice health and safety policies and CQC standards.

3. Patient Care & Administration:

Welcome patients and provide reassurance throughout their treatment. Record and update patient information accurately. Assist with booking appointments and handling patient queries.

4. Learning & Development:

Attend all training sessions as required. Complete coursework, exams, and assessments in a timely manner. Seek and respond to feedback to improve performance and skills.

Qualifications & Entry Requirements:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above Newly enrolled dental nursing candidates with some experience in dental surgery.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12,698.40-25,396.80 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
