Trainee Designer



Here at Electricity Asset Services (EAS), we are currently looking for a

Trainee Designer

to join our family run business. This role will be based at our head office in Lochgelly.

Who we are



EAS specialise in procurement, design, management and execution of all works associated with High and Low voltage underground electricity networks on behalf of major framework contractors and Distribution Network Operators (DNO's).

We have over 40 years combined experience specific to our services offered such as HV/LV cable jointing and terminating, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, 24 hours emergency call out, project management and more. Our purpose is to positively contribute to the electrical industry- providing value to our clients, customer and our people.

Purpose



The purpose of the

Trainee Designer

role is to support the Design team while gaining hands-on experience in developing safe and compliant designs for underground networks. This role will help build skills, knowledge and an understanding of design processes within the industry.

Overview of main duties and responsibilities



Assist in preparing electrical design drawings

Use design software to develop and update plans

Conduct site visits where required

Maintain accurate records of design revisions, approvals and documentation

Continuously develop knowledge of electrical design processes and best practice

Always adhere to health and safety standards

Carry out other related tasks as directed by the design team and managers
