Job Description

Christy Lighting Masts are looking for someone to join our team of floodlighting installation and maintenance operatives.

The applicant must be enthusiastic, physically fit and willing to work away from home during the week often long days. Travel to site is in a company vehicle.

Full training will be given to all new applicants, and the successful candidate will be working with an experienced operative to learn all aspects of the role.

The role will include installing floodlighting masts, cables and floodlights typically around newly built all weather sports pitches and also carrying out maintenance and repair work on existing floodlighting installations all over the UK.

The applicant may also be required to work within our factory helping to pre wire electrical components.

No experience in sports floodlighting is necessary but the ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand tools and have experience of previous labouring, site work and long hours.

A full UK driving licence is required along with an easy commute to Witham due to early starts and late finishes. There is not good public transport access so having access to a car would be deemed essential.

As a result of working in schools/colleges and community sports facilities, all staff will be required to have a full enhanced DBS; this is paid for by the Company.

A standard hourly rate will be paid, regardless of whether in the factory, travelling to site in a company van, or working on site.

After a trial period, the opportunity to attend an apprenticeship with the course paid for by Christy Lighting Masts may be offered to the right candidate.
