POSITION: Electronic Measurement Technician--PERMANENT after 6 months probation
JOB ROLE NOTES: We require a trainee electronic measurement and calibration technician with skills to work on electrical instrumentation i.e. multimeters, 17th / 18th edition instrumentation, temperature gauges, cable identification and avoidance equipment, portable gas detectors. You will be working in a small friendly team to service client's equipment to a high standard based at our head office. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work and can fulfil a task in its entirety and thrive on job satisfaction.
LOCATION Norwich--Broadland Business Park- NR7 0WF
SALARY: 25,400 upwards subject to age, experience and skills + individual and company bonus (up to 10% subject to performance)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Calibrate, test, Inspect, repair, fault diagnose instrumentation and electrical test equipment, tag all equipment and update service records.
Check, diagnose faults and repair/maintain equipment to a high standard
Maintain an up to date knowledge of products and full range of accessories
Completion of all test certificates and associated paperwork & computer database record keeping
Keep workshop organised, clean and tidy and assisting with general workshop duties as and when required.
Carry out any other reasonable tasks as deemed necessary by manager
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY SKILLS
Experience in instrumentation &/or calibration would be beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided
Grasp of fundamental electrical parameters & techniques would be beneficial
NVQ qualification is preferable but not essential - on job specialist training will be given
Ability to self-motivate and work as part of a small team and working to deadlines
Computer literate (access to service diagrams, ability to send emails, update electronic records)
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Work level management and internal conformance reporting
Customer satisfaction reports and bounce back monitoring
Workshop organisation & tidiness with a methodical approach to workflow
On-going management appraisal (and formal annual)
