We are seeking a Trainee Estimator to join the Air Conditioning division of the RGM Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to kick-start their career in the M&E sector. The successful candidate will support the AC Team and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.
This role presents an excellent opportunity for a budding estimator to develop their skills and contribute to exciting projects within a supportive team environment. With no requirement for previous experience, the successful candidate will benefit from coaching and support to grow and progress within the role. This vacancy is open to apprentices who are seeking a placement whilst completing their apprenticeship programme.
Main purpose of job role:
As a Trainee Estimator, you will be responsible for assisting with the analysis of air conditioning project specifications and assist with the preparation of cost estimates for AC projects.
KEY TASKS
Reporting to the Operations Manager this role will involve:
read CAD/REVIT generated drawings and consultant specifications
assist with carrying out material take-offs
obtain supplier quotations
follow up of estimates and quotations with clients
learn how to use estimating software
Essential requirements for the role:
A willingness to learn and grow within the role
Good computer literacy skills - Excel and Outlook
Strong numerical ability with attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
