Job Description

The Role:

The Forge Hand Operative Role is based on our Neptune Works site in Ecclesfield, and resides in the Press/GFM Bays.
The role reports to the Forge Manager.

We are looking for trainee operatives who we can train within our Press & GFM forging teams. Full, on the job training will be provided to those candidates who display a sufficient drive and good enthusiasm for the role.

We expect you to:

Be keen, motivated and reliable. Have excellent attention to detail. Have previous experience within a hot working environment. Always be fully compliant to Health & Safety requirements - Act safely and responsibly
As you will be working within a heavy industrial environment, which includes hot metal, our ideal candidates will already have hot working or heavy industrial experience.

FLT B1 License (refresher training can be provided).*
Overhead Crane certified (training can be provided)*

During training, your aptitude against certain roles will be measured, leading to a position within the teams as:

GFM Forge Team

GFM Driver
Grabber Driver
Back Man

1000T Press Team

1st Hand / Forge Man
Manipulator Driver
Press Driver
Back Man
