We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee General Manager to join our team. Established in 1984, Vinyl Value is a small but growing business. The role will be hands on with a focus on assisting with all aspects of production across sewing, cutting and packing. The successful applicant would be starting off with a variety of responsibilities with the potential of eventually becoming a Full General Manager and all that entails.

Preparation of items used in the production process
Dispatch
of outbound goods
Receipt
of inbound goods
Further Activities and Responsibilities
Van Driving to local customers and suppliers, with occasional cross country as and when needed (although not common) desired but not a requirement
Operating the Manufacturing Resource Planner (MRPeasy) in regard to the organisation of customer orders, stock levels etc.
Cutting Department Operations learning correct methods of preparation and cutting.
Liaising between shop floor and office
Production Planning to ensure timely delivery of orders, stock control etc.
Small scale woodwork/upholstery production
There is also a requirement for manual/heavy lifting, up to 25kg although lifting equipment is available for heavier items.
An excellent level of written/spoken English is required
High level IT proficiency as we utilise databases and Customer Relationship Management systems.
Ability to commute to Cricket St Thomas - we are in a rural location with no direct public transport.
Full training and support will be given and it is worth noting that our current GM started in a similar position.
