Henbury Golf Club is consistently ranked among the top courses in the Bristol area.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working individual to help maintain our course and grounds. You will be hands-on in all aspects of course maintenance, working both individually and as part of a supportive and experienced team. The position is predominately working outdoors in all conditions with an early start and weekend work on a rota basis.

An interest in Golf would be advantageous but not essential. Full training will be given along with the opportunity to study and gain NVQ 2 sports turf maintenance.

Your main duties include but are not limited to-

Course maintenance:

Mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough areas. Setting up markers and hole positions. Removing dew and course debris

Bunker work & hazards:

Raking, renovating, edging bunker surrounds and water hazard zones

Turf and soil care:

Applying seed, fertiliser, top?dressing. Scarifying, aerating and monitoring turf health and soil conditions

Pest, disease & weed control:

Identifying turf disorders, pests and weeds

Irrigation & drainage:

Supporting installation, maintenance, and operation of irrigation and drainage systems

Equipment & machinery:

Preparing, operating and maintaining turf machinery safely. Flagging any faults. Learning tractor operation and attachments

Communications & reporting:

Recording course conditions, green speeds and working with the greens team and supervisors

Continuous development:

Engaging in off-the-job training, keeping up with professional standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 20k per annum + overtime
