We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Heating and Cooling Engineer within the commercial rental industry. You will be responsible for supporting Heating and Cooling Engineers in our company in assisting services to a customer base across diverse industries. In a truly mobile role, our Engineers respond to planned and ad-hoc rental requirements installing temporary heating or cooling equipment, servicing rental equipment on customer sites or responding to breakdowns ensuring minimal customer impact.
Our engineers also service and maintain our rental Chillers, Boilers and Heaters at our depot so we always have quality equipment ready to hire.
Our customers include - hospitals, councils, schools and commercial building premises.
What we you need to succeed
We are looking for a friendly and reliable team player who brings honesty and integrity to everything they do. You will have hands on experience working alongside Heating and Cooling Engineers. You will need to hold Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent qualification).
We will provide the training and support you need to grow your skills and advance towards becoming a qualified Heating and Cooling Engineer.

What will I be doing as an Engineer?
Promote a professional image internally and externally
Assisting engineers and learning to provide installation and commissioning of new projects, including deinstallations.
Attending ad-hoc breakdowns and problems on customers' sites, assisting engineers in providing quick and accurate diagnosis and solutions on our hire equipment.
Where necessary provide engineering assistance for regular rental equipment servicing and PDI's.
Playing a key role in the wider Operational Team, providing colleague support as required.
Timely completion of documentation including commissioning, servicing, inspection reports and timesheets (with guidance)
To report any product or safety problems within the equipment to the Engineering Manager
To adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures of Ideal Heat Solutions Ltd.
To be successful in this role you will need:
Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent.
Knowledge of heating systems, plumbing and basic electrics.
General understanding of industrial plant room.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively on their own initiative whilst providing a positive contribution to the Operational Team
Current driving licence valid in the UK and enhanced DBS check required.
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as this role will require occasional lifting.
CSCS card - desirable
