Job Title: Trainee Import Agent

Position Overview:

As a Trainee Import Agent, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for facilitating seamless import and export operations. Working closely with our experienced team, you will gain hands-on experience in navigating international trade regulations, coordinating shipments, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods across borders. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for career growth and advancement within the field of import-export.

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Assist in the preparation and verification of shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations. Collaborate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to facilitate clear and timely communication throughout the shipment process. Learn and support the customs clearance process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of documentation to customs authorities. Input and manage data related to shipments in our systems, maintaining accuracy and completeness. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships. Completing Import entries from start to finish. Speaking to customers via phone and email, to gain the correct information and resolve any issues. Create records in the ERTS system ready for clearance. Complete and check customs entries, checking the CPC to be used after receiving instructions from the client.

The ideal candidate will have:

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. High attention to detail 5 years referencing and clear criminal record. Good PC knowledge

Training and Development:

The Trainee Import Agent will undergo a structured training program covering various aspects of import-export operations. This program will include mentorship, on-the-job training, and opportunities for professional development.
