We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial viability, and providing accurate estimates throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Monitor project budgets and expenditure to ensure costs are controlled effectively. Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate cost assessments. Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors through competitive bidding processes. Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms. Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on financial performance and forecasts to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making is essential.
