POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Machine Operator to join our production team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing or engineering. You will receive full training to operate machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring high-quality production output.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Learn to operate and monitor production machinery under supervision. Assist with machine setup, calibration, and basic maintenance. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. Inspect finished products for quality and report any defects. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Record production data and report issues to the supervisor. Participate in training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives. Any other duties assigned by your line manager and required by the business.

REQUIREMENTS:

No prior experience required; training will be provided. Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Team player with a positive attitude. Flexible to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required. Good problem-solving skills. Good time management.

DESIRABLE:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Familiarity with health and safety practices.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

GCSEs or equivalent (Maths and English). Familiarity with continuous improvement is an advantage. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
