This is a great opportunity for a

TRAINEE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

to join the team of an established Wolverhampton based metal finishing business as they increase their production capacity. You will be mentored directly by the Maintenance Manager, building on general mechanical and engineering aptitude and working on diverse mechanical and electrical production plant.

Core working hours Mon to Fri 7am to 4pm. Starting salary wholly dependent on experience but we anticipate something in the region of 26-30k

As a TRAINEE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER within this business, you will be trained and become increasingly involved in:

Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of production machinery & ancillaries Planned / preventative maintenance & servicing Installation & commissioning of new production equipment Refurbishing & repurposing of machinery Assisting and thereby learning from specialist third party service engineers
The ideal TRAINEE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER will display the following key skills & experience

Work experience (18 months) in a hands-on engineering type job or even pastime Basic mechanical and/or electrical experience A genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for things mechanical Working with production machinery or engines, motors, pumps, controls or just taking things apart and putting them back together. Above all you must be prepared to turn up, listen, learn and try !
This TRAINEE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER will appeal to any up and coming mechanical, production, maintenance or electrical engineer, apprentice or trainee that has already gained some hands-on experience within manufacturing or engineering. You will be given every opportunity to "get your hands dirty" and gain valuable hands-on experience on which to build your career.
