As part of the Rabart Group, Bailey Paints is a small independent paint manufacturer, making paint in Stroud. We are looking to grow our own manufacturing capability, and the successful candidate will be working alongside - and learning from, experienced paint makers, some of whom have been making paint for over 30 years.
What are we looking for in a potential candidate:

Full training will be given but we view a successful candidate as requiring to be/have:
Physically fit. The role involves manual handling and some heavy lifting (up to 25 Kg).
Able to read and understand a paint formulation (like a cooking recipe) and have basic maths ability.
Cares about the quality of the work they do.
Who understands the importance of keeping their work area, clean, tidy and safe.
Has a full driving license and ideally some experience of delivery driving in a van (Ford Transit or similar).
Extra consideration will be given to someone who:
Has some experience of working in a manufacturing environment (factory).
Has some related or similar skillsets - e.g. building/DIY, engineering (e.g. repairing/maintaining vehicles).
Has a forklift license or experience of using a forklift.
Basic IT skills.
Job Role:
Primary Responsibilities:
Manufacture of industrial and decorative paints in bulk.
Small order paint making using computerised and manual tinting machines.
Packing and dispatching (online order fulfilment).
Secondary Responsibilities:
Goods In - receiving incoming goods and stock.
Relief driving as required (delivering to customers and inter branch transfers), - van up to 3.5 mt.
Building and equipment maintenance as required.

Interview
:
First stage to be held online via Indeed, final stage to be held in person at our manufacturing site in Thrupp, Stroud.
The in-person interview will also involve a practical test of making a tin of paint. This will test your ability to read and follow a set of instructions. Your interview will also test your ability to differentiate between shades of the same colour.
