Blaze Signs are an award-winning signage manufacturer based in Broadstairs and Birmingham. Blaze Signs are market leaders in end-to-end business signage. They provide a complete solution, from planning, design, and project management, through to manufacture, installation and maintenance.

We have an opportunity in our hard working and friendly team at Birmingham (near Longbridge) for a Trainee Paint Sprayer. This is a rewarding role where work for household names occurs almost daily. The Trainee Paint Sprayer will be applying wet spray paint to a various signage component and be taught via the 1st year Blaze Academy framework. This will include a big emphasis on health and safety, learning spraying techniques and how to use various materials in the spray shop. This is a very manual role and will require wearing full PPE. The role is Monday to Friday 07.00 to 15.30 with half an hour lunch break and a morning break.

Ideally, we would like someone with some experience of working in manufacturing or a manual role, but as long as you have a fantastic attention to detail and eager to learn we would love to hear from you. if.

Salary will be dependent on performance at interview and there will be a practical test.

Duties include but not limited to.

You will be taught to:

Wet spray various materials to a high standard, with an emphasis on achieving consistent colour and finish. Handle a range of work, from large format panels to small individual items. Cleaning, degreasing, sanding, and prepping panels ready for spraying

Making health and Safety the top priority Online training as well as training in person Following the Blaze Academy training roadmap Learn to work from your own initiative with guidance from senior staff. Support problem solving processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Develop time management skills to help organise your workload effectively.
Candidate qualities

An interest or basic knowledge of stove enamelling is beneficial.

Training will be given to develop a working understanding of this process. Attention to detail and commitment to good quality work Punctual and committed - being on time is essential to manufacturing and is a top priority at Blaze Signs. Able to take and follow instructions An interest in learning paint spraying and signage manufacturing. Minimum Qualifications GSCES
