The Opportunity




We have an exciting opportunity for a

Trainee Plant Operative

to join our team at our

Westleigh Asphalt plant in Tiverton

. This role is fast-paced, dynamic, extremely varied and challenging, however also very rewarding for someone who enjoys working with other like-minded, hard working people.


Key tasks range from, operating the plants computer controlled mixing system, operating mobile plants and undertaking light maintenance tasks including housekeeping duties. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about their work and is looking for employment with a company who, in return for their commitment and hard-work, genuinely cares about their safety, health, wellbeing , job satisfaction and career development.


Other elements of the role include:

Learning to

mix

consistently excellent material using the Plant Computer. Carry out pre-start checks on fixed and mobile plant and ensure that it is safe to operate To carry out routine maintenance including greasing / visual inspections as per the schedule

Operate mobile plant

such as loading shovel, minidigger and telehandler (full training given)

House keeping

duties such as hosing down etc where required

What will you bring?

Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong IT literacy Basic mathematics and english skills Flexibility with work hours and willing to work weekend The desire for training and willingness to learn You will need to develop a sound appreciation of Health & Safety, housekeeping and environmental regulations
