Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a background in fabrication or related trades to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The Powder Coater will work closely with other team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining a safe and organised workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare components for coating by cleaning, masking, and handling materials appropriately Operate powder coating equipment efficiently and safely, ensuring consistent application Inspect finished products for quality, colour consistency, and adherence to specifications Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning and minor repairs as needed Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Assist with loading and unloading parts, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations

Experience

Mechanical knowledge is essential, with experience in handling hand tools and power tools preferred Prior experience in fabrication, construction painting, or assembly is advantageous Warehouse experience or familiarity with industrial environments will be beneficial Basic maths skills are required for measuring and calculating coating quantities Experience with welding or other fabrication techniques is a plus but not mandatory Candidates should have a good understanding of safety protocols related to powder coating processes
