Trainee Process Technician

We are seeking a Trainee Process Technician to join our Team. The successful candidate will be fully trained how to operate, monitor and control equipment within our production plant, to ensure product quality and throughput meet specifications. They will contribute to efficiency improvements through optimised equipment setup and preventative maintenance, helping to reduce downtime.

Hours of Work

The successful candidate will work the following rotating day and night shift Pattern:

Week 1/Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 6.00pm Week 2/Night Shift: Monday to Wednesday 6.00pm to 6.00am.

Main Duties:

Start and stop production equipment. Monitor and adjust process setting to optimise production. Address any process alarms, taking any required corrective actions. Complete process records. Report any production / quality issues. Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and inspections on plant equipment. Carry out their duties in a safe and efficient manner following site procedures.

Full training will be provided.

Essential Criteria:

A minimum of 4 GCSE's including Maths and science, or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years previous experience working in a high-volume production environment. Good communication skill and a practical hands-on approach to work. Follow safe operating procedures precisely. Experience in using Microsoft office E.g., Word and Excel.

Desirable Criteria:

NVQ/HNC or equivalent in Engineering or relevant subjects. Knowledge and experience of SCADA control systems.
