Role Summary As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will embark on an exciting journey that combines practical, hands-on experience with academic learning. Working within our dynamic Commercial team, you'll support and learn from experienced Senior and Assistant Quantity Surveyors on real-life construction projects.
While gaining valuable industry experience, you'll also study part-time towards a recognized qualification in Quantity Surveying--laying the foundation for a successful career in the construction and built environment sector.
Key Responsibilities
Help manage project costs and budgets
Assist with payments, valuations, and reports
Support tendering and procurement process for our Estimating department
Learn about contracts and legal aspects
Build communication and negotiation skills
Lean how our projects are carried out by visiting sites and working closely with the Project Managers
Training Details
Study one day a week towards a Quantity Surveying qualification (HNC/Degree level) with tuition fees covered by TMS
Key Skills & Qualifications
GCSE Maths and English (grade 4 or above)
A-levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (desirable)
Experience working in an office and administrative environment
Great at problem solving, logical and analytical mindset
Strong numerical solving skills, with confidence in working with data and figures
Great communication skills, both written and verbal
A strong interest in construction and project delivery
Eagerness to learn and grow within a team environment
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
Right to work in the UK
