Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team, maybe suitable for a recent college or university leaver. Based in our office, this role is vital in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency across our construction projects. Your expertise will help us uphold our commitment to quality and value.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse project budgets and cost estimates. Monitor project expenses and control costs throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met. Conduct risk assessments related to project costs. Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding financial matters. Provide detailed reports on project financial status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices. Commercial awareness and understanding Excellent analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contracts. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Office). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
