JOB DESCRIPTION: TRAINEE SCAFFOLDER

.

1. Main Purpose of Job

Work with a team of men erecting access scaffolding and become a qualified scaffolder within a four-year period.

2. Common responsibilities of contract team members

2.1

To maintain company standards of service, quality, safety, environmental and productivity

2.2 To treat customer requirements as paramount and communicate this attitude to team members.2.3 To understand the importance of being a member of a team2.4 To load and unload lorries in a tidy and safe manner2.5 To store materials in the yard or on site tidily and in agreed storage areas2.6 To safeguard the condition and security of all the companies assets

3. Line of authority

3.1. The trainee scaffolder is responsible to the team leader but works closely with the scaffolder who will provide support as required

4. Individual responsibilities

To assist the team to erecting and dismantle scaffolding structuresTo carry out maintenance of scaffolding in the yardTo driving a Lorry (if the holder of an appropriate licence)To participate in company training and support other team membersTo loading and unload materialsTo complete contract documentationAny other task required from time to time.

About Magnum Scaffolding

Magnum Scaffolding is a Contract Scaffolding Specialist involved in the erection and hire of scaffolding, predominantly but not exclusively to the Construction Industry and within the South West and South Wales Regions.

The company operates from Offices and Yards in Newport South Wales, and Keynsham, near Bristol.

Our objectives are to expand geographically and into related sectors as well as

developing new services to spread our workload, risk and reliance away from one activity.

We envisage this growth mainly to be organic and financed from our own resources.

This is an opportunity to become involved in an exciting phase in the company's

development.

Operations are currently organised into two separate businesses, one operational and the other that owns and hires out the scaffolding equipment and vehicles, predominantly to the operational company.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: 8.40-12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
